Goodbye Parkside.....Hello Horizon!
Well, I officially made it through my first year teaching! Can you believe it? I won't lie and say it was a breeze, but I really loved every minute of it. I have cried like a baby for the last 2 days every time I got a card, drawing, or gift from one of my students. I knew that I would cry, but as hormonal as I am really isn't helping! Cam surprised me and took the day off of work, and brought me flowers at school and took me to lunch. How sweet is that! He knew I would be sad to leave my kids, and Parkside, so he wanted to help make my day better. I have all my teacher stuff packed up to move to Horizon next Tuesday. It was sad to have to pack up all my stuff already. I feel like I just unpacked it all at Parkside. I really will miss Parkside! I grew to love the staff, kids, and families so much! That was the hardest part! I have to keep telling myself that I am going to do what I have always wanted to do, and that if things don't work out as I hope.....Jennifer (my principal at Parkside) told me there will always be a place for me at Parkside which is comforting. Now I have 2 1/2 months paid time off!! I am so excited! Cam and I hope to go on some adventure while I am off work, but who knows what that will be. I know I will be going to visit Jaynann in Cedar City when she has baby Emma with the girls, but other than that.... I have no big plans!

Week in Review
Well, we have had a really busy week! Just when we think life is slowing down for us, we're thrown a fast ball! But we've had a lot of fun running around like crazy people!
Tuesday, all the FuFu sisters (me, Kim, Stacy, Jaynann, and the bride to be Liz) descended upon Salt Lake for Liz and Josh's wedding. We had a great time catching up on the good ole' days, and looking towards all of our futures! Needless to say, we lost track of the time and got home at 2 AM! We don't get to see each other too often, but when we do.....watch out!
Wednesday was Liz and Josh's wedding! It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Unfortunately, Cam and I couldn't go to the temple with them because Cam had to work, and I couldn't get a sub (after trying for 3 months!). We would have really liked to have been there, but things just didn't work out. Their dinner (they had no formal reception) was so much fun! There really aren't 2 people that are better for each other than Liz and Josh (well, other than Cam and I :) ).
Thursday we went to Karine's (Cam's mom) graduation from the U. She has worked to hard to finish her bachelors in nursing! We can all thank Cameron for the delay since he decided to grace the world with his presence one semester before she finished way back in the 80's. Finally she did it! Congrats Karine!!! We all went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory afterwards. It was a lot of fun, not to mention the delicious cheesecake!!
A lot of people have been asking about how Cam's grandma (Greg's mom) is doing. Well, about a month ago her health started to decline rapidly (she was suffering from terminal cancer). Karine took a leave of absence from work to be her primary care giver. She started developing tumors in her neck that were having an effect on her ability to eat, drink, and breath. Friday morning at about 4 AM, she passed away surrounded by family at Greg and Karine's home where she had been living for the past few months. We are all sad about her death, but realize what a blessing it is for her. She no longer has to suffer with struggling to breath and debilitating weakness. Her funeral is being help on Wednesday.
Hopefully next week at the Romero house is a little less hectic!
