It has been AGES since my last post! Life has been hectic, and well frankly, I didn't think about updating the blog. Here is the short verson of what has happened in the life of Cameron and Lindsey since November.....I apologize for the lack of pictures. We sold our laptop, so I only have my lovely Dell computer (which I detest!!!) the school gave me with no pictures on it until we get our new one next week.
I turned 24 in November. I know that isn't old, but when my kindergartners think I am the same age as their grandma......I feel old. I had many great celebrations this year thanks to my fantastic family. Thanks to all for making my birthday fantastic as usual!!!
Thanksgiving was also fabulous. We had dinner with my Mom's side of the family. My aunt and uncle from Boise Idaho came up for the holiday. It was great to see them. For the last 4 years, it has been the Wiles/Ogzewalla Family tradition to participate in the Cold Turkey 5K on the morning of Turkey Day up City Creek Canyon. It was fun as usual, and great to have Gerry join in the festivities with us. We had my favorite, Pumpkin Pie, at Cameron parents for dessert! Yum-o!!!
Christmas was also great! We got to spend it with Christmas Eve Cameron's family and my Dad and Cort. We ate crab and lots of yummy seafood with the Romero's, as well as exchanged brother and sister gifts, and got our new pair of Christmas PJ's. The Wiles Christmas Eve gift giving extravaganza was amazing as usual with gift from PC Claus (if you know Cameron and his love for Mac's you will understand the humor in that), Red Robed Guy, and many more nicknames for Santa. It was awesome as usual! Unfortunately, Cameron came to the Romero party late after he got off of work and ate some bad seafood......which lead to food poisioning all day on Christmas. It was awful. The poor guys was laid up in bed....with hourly trips to the bathroom all day and night. I was very close to taking him to the ER because he was so sick. So I ventured alone in the blizzard to Bluffdale to my Mom's. We had a fantastic turkey dinner and watch Christmas Vacation. It was great, other then the blizzard part. It took Tayler and I 2 hours to get home that night! All in all, we had a great Christmas.....except for the food poisioning part.
We had a quiet New Years Eve at home since Cameron had to be to work early on New Years Day. I made mexican food and margartitas for dinner while we watched a movie. It was nice, low key, but nice. I spent New Years Day dejunking our house for the new year. It is amazing how much junk 2 people can acquire in a years time.
Now for the highlight of the past month. Cameron was invited to go to Macworld in San Francisco by the managers of his store!! For those of you who don't know what that is (I am assuming most of you don't...) Macworld is a convention that Apple puts on each winter to launch new product, and for other companies who make products for Apple merchandise to showcase and demo their new products. He was the lone Utah representative at the convention! How fantastic is that!! They flew him there, put him up for a week at the Westin St. Regis Hotel in Union Square. He got to watch the Keynote where they talked about the new products live, and then work at the booth each day demoing the new iPhoto 09 features for consumers. He was in nerd heaven! He took lots of pictures at the convention, but because of confidentiality issues with his work, he can't post any on the internet from inside the Moscone Center where it was held. He scored a ton of free schwag, and met a lot of people who taught him a lot about working for Apple. The only thing that would have made the trip better was if he would have been able to see Steve Jobs, Apples CEO, and Cameron's idol. All in all, it was an awesome experience for him.
Thats all for now. I promise I will do better at updating the blog in 2009! Happy New Year!!
